POSITION TITLE: Continuous Improvement Specialist II                                 SHIFT:  1st
SECTION OR DEPARTMENT:  SEWS Components Division Scottsville, KY
REPORTS TO:   Hunter Crossfield - EHS – TKA Assistant Manager
LOCATION:  Scottsville, KY (SV5)
 
BASIC POSITION DUTIES:    Continuous Improvement Specialist- CIA program administration, kaizen program facilitator, lead document control activities, and support audit activities and that will ultimately assist in meeting customer expectations and Sumitomo expectations regarding performance, safety, and PK.
 
 
  • Document Control-complete all requirements of document control system including updating, creating, posting, and maintaining clear / concise work instructions, forms, and educational material.
  • Create CPC’s, CPI’s and TWI’s for manufacturing departments.
  • Continuously monitor and comply with document control requirements per internal, parent company, and other directives.
  • Administrator of CIA Program – track suggestions, implementation, associate points, gift card awards, etc. Facilitate and guide Kaizen teams. Assist with SEWS Competition and Honda CAN Conference (if qualified).
  • Support SKT activities – including maintaining SKT boards, compiling date, developing graphs, and communicating information with relevant groups.
  • Audits – participate in IATF, PK, ISO14001, others as needed. Make improvements as necessary.
  • Are You Ready Program-complete document control requirements of Are You Ready Program.
  • Training Program-support training activities as needed
  • Participate in cross-functional team meetings as necessary. Maintain a positive work environment and morale while maintaining company rules and policy. Clear, precise, and immediate communication of all safety, manufacturing, and personnel issues.
  • Supports all SEWS Scottsville and Franklin locations as needed. Travel between sites required. Some domestic travel required (0-10%). Other duties as directed.
 
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree required or 3-5 years related experience.
  • Must be available to work alternate shifts as needed
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, & PowerPoint.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under deadlines
  • Must be proficient with digital media including cameras and videos
  • Experience with video editing software preferred
  • Must have excellent communication and presentation skills-both verbal and written.
